The crisp air nips gently at my cheeks like a playful lovers kiss
I wait each day, upon this bench, wondering what I missed
I slide bare feet across the surface of smooth cobblestones
I love the rounded feel beneath my perfectly painted toes
I sip my coffee and watch the world go spinning past my eyes
I wonder if by sitting here, someday I may grow wise
Probably not, but still I sit and wonder what to do
For you see, I can not move, I only have one shoe.
